Transcripts
If you need a TRANSCRIPT for college applications or for scholarships, you must request them with Mrs. Banks in the Counseling Office. Make sure to get an extra “unofficial” transcript for you to keep and photocopy for scholarships that don’t require an “official” one. Once you ask for it, you must return within three days to pick them up or she will throw them away and you will not be able to get another one for a month. After applying for college all schools want a final, June Transcript.

If you need a letter of recommendation from your counselor fill out the Brag Sheet. Letters of recommendation take two working weeks to be completed.

ASVAB
November 4th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Sign up by November 1st in the CCC with Mrs. DeMartino.
Juniors and seniors have you thought about what you will do when you finish high school? If you would like to explore which careers may be suitable for you, or if you are considering military service after graduation the ASVAB or Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a test that would be helpful to you.

You will receive career exploration scores for Verbal Skills, Math Skills, and Science and Technology Skills. The ASVAB will help you identify your different skills and competencies. You will be given a Career Exploration Guide/Workbook that helps students link their interests, aptitudes and personal preferences to occupations. Knowing your interests will help you identify potentially satisfying careers. Your interests and ASVAB scores can be used to explore over 400 civilian and military occupations.

The test is given once a year at Santa Susana H.S. You can sign up for the test in the College and Career Center. You are under NO obligation to the military when you take the ASVAB test in your high school. If all you want to do is find your strengths, abilities, interests, and areas where you could improve, that? fine.
