College Library Lesson
Description
Seniors are visiting the library to learn how to make the most of their future college library experience. Seniors learn about topics such as:
LCC Classification, union catalogs and college inter-library loan programs
unique resources available to students through their college library
library and research classes and online tutorials
course and electronic reserve programs
During this lesson, students: use advanced features found in Google Scholar, create their own personal learning space through iGoogle, and develop a marketing campaign for their future college library. Students will produce materials they can use when conducting research at college.
This lesson addresses 3 Common Core English/Language Arts (ELA) Writing Standards, and 5 California State Library Standards.
