Chapter 1 – Student / Community Profile

"Going from Good to Great!"

Enrollment in Challenging & Rigorous Courses (Counseling Office)
numbers of students

All students are encouraged to participate in a full curricular program, including challenging and rigorous courses. Enrollment figures of all AP and honors classes show that girls outnumber boys (53%-47%), and that 26% of those course enrollments are of traditionally under-represented students—reflecting their numbers on campus.

Percent of Graduates Completing UC/CSU Requirements (Counseling Office)

Seventy (70) students in the Class of 2006 (237 seniors at the time of this report) are on target to meet the requirements for admission to the University of California or California State University. Students who are enrolled in college prep classes but did not obtain at least a grade of “C” for the first semester are not included in this number, as only a grade of “C” is considered passing. The number of students completing the requirements is a representation of the ethnic-gender diversity on campus.
